I have an 8' oak tall tree that has been in the ground about 3 years. I am rearranging the irrigation hose in that bed, and want to know if the drip hose should be wrapped close to the trunk or half way between the trunk and drip line---or somewhere else. Thank you, Eleanor Quigley

I am sorry for this delayed reply to your gardening question. The spring rush has brought a deluge of questions and we are working hard to catch up!

Most roots are located within and just beyond the branchspread of the tree. Water more out near the outer branchspread and less if any near the trunk.

Thanks for the question. Best wishes for a wonderful gardening season. Please stop in again soon!
