Hi, how long do they take to grow? I planted mine outside about 3-1/2 weeks ago. At frist when I brought them in that special packaging I wasn't ready to put them outside because weather wasn't permitting it. But I kept sprinkling it with water and leafs were starting to come out, now the minute I planted them outside all the leafs die! and now I don't see any leafs? I did everything the package said to do?

I think the foliage was shocked by the move from indoors to out. Dormant bare root plants are best planted in early spring while still dormant and covered with a mound of soil. Then the soil is removed gradually as they begin to leaf out.

If the plant leafs out before planting, it will be shocked by the sudden move outdoors. At this point keep the soil slightly moist like a wrung out sponge, mulch over the root area with an organic mulch, and hope for the best.
