Each plant will have a distinct line showing where the underground portion and root begins and where the top growth begins. Plant so that line is at the soil surface, no deeper. If you have a container grown plant, set it at the same depth as it grew in the container. The planting hole should be dug wide and deep enough to accommodate all of the roots without crowding. When you dig the hole, make it at least three times wider than the root ball. This will encourage rooting into the surrounding soil. I hope this helps. |
