I would like a tree that grows fast for zone 5. What do you suggest?

Ornamental pear (Pyrus kawakami) is an evergreen tree that is well-behaved and doesn't drop messy flowers, fruit or seed pods. Cork Oak (Quercus suber) is evergreen, and tolerates wide range of growing conditions. Other suggestions include Holly Oak (Quercus ilex), Japanese Black Pine (Pinus thunbergiana), and Torrey Pine (Pinus torreyana). Best wishes with your new tree!
