Boxwoods Roots - Knowledgebase Question

Yes i am wanting to redo my flower bed and my boxwoods have been there for about 10 years. Do you know what kind of root system they have, will it be hard to dig them up? If you can help me, that would be good. Thank you, Aletha Hunt

I am sorry for this delayed reply to your gardening question. The spring rush has brought a deluge of questions and we are working hard to catch up!

They have a spreading root system. I have pulled them out with a chain attached to a truck or car hitch and also dug them out with a grubbing hoe which is more work.
