|I have just purchesed a grap plant and blackberries recently and I understand that birds are atrracted to them. Whats the best and easiest way to stop them from eating everything?|
I am sorry for this delayed reply to your gardening question. The spring rush has brought a deluge of questions and we are working hard to catch up!
You may need to see if they start to bother your fruit as the problem is sometimes erratic. If they do start to eat your fruit the best way to manage them is with netting. String 2 horizontal wires about 3 feet apart above the blackberry row and place netting over the wire. (The wire keeps the netting from getting tangled too much in the blackberries.) This will be easier to remove with the wires.
Thanks for the question. Best wishes for a wonderful gardening season. Please stop in again soon!
