Is it ok to place a plastic pot in the ground to plant purple fountain grass in to make it easier to remove the plant after our growing season and will doing this control the growth of the plant?
Thanks.

Absolutely! As long as you bury the pot entirely, rim and all. If the rim is above soil level, the pot can dry out quickly.
