|Recently purchased a vine lilac and would like information on all aspects. I am unfamiliar with this plant and can find no information on planting, feeding, pruning, pests, etc.|
|Your vine lilac (Hardenbergia) is native to Australia and grows at a moderate rate to about 10 feet, with clinging, twining stems. It will have attractive flowers shaped like pea blossoms which will open in clusters in late winter and early spring. Plantin full to part sun in well-drained soil. Provide support for climbing and cut back after bloom.|
You can fertilize in the spring with a complete balanced fertilizer (such as 5-10-10). It's fairly free of insect pests and diseases, except spider mites. Sounds like you've chosen a terrific plant!
