My lania faces west and a golf course. I get hot sun all afternoon. I need a fast growing tree that will spread out but not hinder my view. I'm thinking of a Cherry Laurel tree. Any suggestions? Thank you

I am sorry for this delayed reply to your gardening question. The spring rush has brought a deluge of questions and we are working hard to catch up!

That would be a good choice if it's size is acceptable to you. A smaller, slower growing version is the variety 'Bright N Tight'. Another option would be one of the semi dwarf crape myrtles.

Thanks for the question. Best wishes for a wonderful gardening season. Please stop in again soon!
