|To some extent this depends on what specific kind of orchid you have. However, in general, bright but indirect light along with high humidity are good for orchids. Good air circulation is also important. It is normal for the roots to grow out of the container so do not repot it too soon. To water, moisten the growing medium thoroughly, then allow it to dry slightly before watering again.
