|TRansplanting sago palms - I transplanted a 6 foot frond diameter sago from a relatively shady spot to a sunny corner. Its holding its own. I fed it some palm food and cut back most of its fronds. and have been watering it every day a generous amount. Can I expect it to live? Its been over 10 days and it still is alive.
What are the signs that it is gone and no hope of it coming back?
I am sorry for this delayed reply to your gardening question. The spring rush has brought a deluge of questions and we are working hard to catch up!
Your sago will most likely make it. Just keep the soil moist without keeping it oversaturated as roots need oxygen to survive. If it is dying you will see the fronds turn brown over time.
Thanks for the question. Best wishes for a wonderful gardening season. Please stop in again soon!
