|What is a good fertizer for fruit trees?I have a bing cherry and a barrlet pear, both are dwarf.or some type of spray.
Thank you for your time.
|Ideally you would run some basic soil tests and use the test results to determine how much you need to fertilize. In general terms, you could use a general purpose granular fertilizer such as 10-10-10 per the label directions. A top dressing of compost is often helpful as well.
For spray schedules, please contact your local county extension. They will be familiar with the specific pest and disease problems that are most prevalent in your local area and can help you work out what you need to do, they can also tell what to use and the best time(s) to apply it based on the weather each year.
Good luck with your home orchard!
