About 3 weeks ago I purchased a Kieffer Pear Tree - it looked great upon purchase, had nice green leaves, etc. When planting it in my backyard the mulch like covering around the root ball fell apart, however, I proceeded to plant it in well drained soil in an area that gets sun for about 1/2 of the day. I water the tree daily and it doesn't seem to be doing well at all. Most of the leaves wilted and dried up and those that are left are still somewhat green but very wilted - all of this regardless of how much water I give it. What should I do?? Is there anything that can be done to help it along? Did messing with the root ball cause this problem..? I appreciate your time and information. Thank you. |
