|I love jasmines but I have not had luck. I just bought 2 medium sized again and I have them in pots. What should I do? Should I plant them on the ground? How should I protect them in the winter? Please help!
What should I do care for my gardenias?
Thank you! Thank you!
I am sorry for this delayed reply to your gardening question. The spring rush has brought a deluge of questions and we are working hard to catch up!
You can plant them in the ground or in large containers. Keep the soil moist but not too wet. Give them good morning sun and perhaps some afternoon shade. Fertilize monthly with a soluble plant food such as Miracle Gro. Gardenias thrive in similar care except that I would recommend Miracid for fertilizing the Gardenias.
Jasmine is hardy to only zone 8 while a few varieties can take it to zone 7. You are in zone 7B so they will need to be covered when temperatures drop below about 15 degrees.
Thanks for the question. Best wishes for a wonderful gardening season. Please stop in again soon!
