crape myrtle branch broke off. can I root the three ft. branch? Thank you

I am sorry for this delayed reply to your gardening question. The spring rush has brought a deluge of questions and we are working hard to catch up!

Broken off branches cannot usually be rooted. It takes succulent to semihardwood shoots for rooting to be successful.
