What can I do to get the best bloom on my Crepe Myrtles? |
Ann, I am sorry for this delayed reply to your gardening question. The spring rush has brought a deluge of questions and we are working hard to catch up! For a crape to bloom its best it needs full sun. Also keep the weeds away and maintain moderate soil moisture. If the plant lacks vigor fertilize with a cup of 15-5-10 in early summer and again in mid to late summer. Spread it evenly throughout a circular area extending 4 feet from the trunk in all directions. Thanks for the question. Best wishes for a wonderful gardening season. Please stop in again soon! |
