This is a named variety of daylily or Hemerocallis. It is a perennial. Daylilies grow best in full sun, either all day or for a minimum of six hours including the noontime hour. They prefer soil that is evenly moist yet well drained. This means damp like a wrung out sponge, not sopping wet/saturated and not dried out.

Each spring, top dress with compost and/or a general purpose granular fertilizer or a slow release fertilizer such as 10-10-10 per the label directions. Keep it mulched with two to three inches of organic mulch spread in a flat layer over the root area. Do not allow the mulch to touch the stems. The mulch will help keep down weeds, reduce watering needs, and also feed the soil slowly as it breaks down.

This particular daylily is capable of reblooming, meaning it will bloom cyclically through the growing season if it is well grown in rich soil and kept watered. To encourage rebloom, you should divide it every year or every other year to keep it growing vigorously. This can be done in early spring or early September.

Enjoy your daylilies!
