I am looking for feldsalat seeds. This salad green is planted in flats or direct seeded in the ground, and harvested when seedlings are about 2" tall with 4-8 leaves. The leaves are simple, opposite, and a dark green. The plant looks like a little rosette, with all the leaves crowding up from the base. The seeds are tiny, and somewhat rounded, and the germination rate in 2 year old seeds was 100%. This stuff is great and I want more!!!

I've searched high and low and can only find that "feldsalat" is a German word. You might try Burpee's Mesclun Mix. These are mixed salad greens that include Arugula, Endive, Mache, Chicory, and Radicchio as well as some lettuce varieties. Perhaps you can match one of the plants to what your seed produces. Sorry.
