|i bought a japanese weeping cherry tree thinking it was a dwarf weeping cherry. is there anyway i can keep it small without a real thick trunk?
|Unfortunately, there is no way you can prevent the trunk from increasing in caliper (diameter) as it ages, this is how trees grow naturally over time. If you really need a slim look, you would have to replace the tree periodically. I'm sorry I can't be more encouraging but I can't think of any other way.
