I have planted a lot vegetables in my garden - it's been about 2 weeks since they've been in the soil. There's no progress in their growth and some of the leaves are turning yellow. I do see some flowers in the tomato and pepper plants. We were very successful last year (in the same soil). Is there something wrong this year? Anything I can do to improve my plants' growth? Thank you so much for your help, I truly appreciate it.
|Based on your description I am not certain what is happening to your plants. It is unusual to see a variety of plants all yellowing at the same time. Yellowing can be a sign of overwatering or poorly drained soil, or of a lack of nitrogen, or of "sunburn" due to transplant shock, or a reaction to an application of "hot mulch". It can also be a sign of overfertilizing or accidental herbicide exposure or a reaction to a chemical spray. I would suggest you run some basic soil tests to check fertility and soil pH, just to be sure there is nothing unusual there. Also think back and try to review the above points in case something has happened out of the ordinary. You might also want to check with your local county extension to see if they can help you trouble shoot.|
