|My soil is essentially glacial tilth...sandy and loaded with stones. The area I want to plant gets 4 or 5 hours of sunshine is exposed to the north. I'm looking for recommendations for hardy flowering perennials for the area. I have pflox, which does very well.|
|These make great companions for phlox:
Aromatic Aster, Butterflyweed, Coneflowers, Sundrops, Coreopsis, Mountain Mint, Rudbeckias, and Obedient Plant. There are many others, but these seem to grow well in soils such as you describe.
Best wishes with your beautiful garden!
