|I would like to start okra in a greenhouse. When should I plant the seeds? I am assuming I should transplant into the garden around May 1st.

|You should definitely wait until the soil is nice and warm (65-70F) - at least 2 weeks after your last frost. Since it's a deep-rooted plant, it generally is fussy about transplanting. Start them about 3 weeks before transplanting. Use a deep container (such as a milk carton with the top cut off and drainage holes poked in the bottom), and peel the carton away at transplant time - don't try to pull the rootball out. Hope this helps!
