I just purchased a sessert rose plant. Should I keep it in it's pot or is it ok to plant it outside. We are starting a cactus garden. Will the rainy season kill it?

Joanne,

I am sorry for this delayed reply to your gardening question. The spring rush has brought a deluge of questions and we are working hard to catch up!

It will be okay planted outside as long as it doesn't freeze. Make sure the drainage around the plant is good. Soggy soil can be deadly to this and many other species of plants. Planting on a raised mound or raised bed helps with marginal drainage areas.

Thanks for the question. Best wishes for a wonderful gardening season. Please stop in again soon!
