| Hi, I have two large labrador retrievers who have big feet. they've managed to clear the backyard of grass as they slide around when playing ball, and their feet take the grass with them as they slide. I'd like some advice on sturdy groundcover that might last better than grass does. |
| Unfortunately, no plants can withstand that type of traffic any better than grass. The only solution is to keep them off the yard when the soil is moist and muddy and most vulnerable to damage. I know this is just about impossible when you have active dogs who need to play. I wish I could be more encouraging. |
