I was given a Chocolate Vine from Home Depot, Mother's Day. It is showing a white powder-like cover on the leaves, how can I treat this?

Your Chocolate Vine (Akebia quinata) sounds as though it has developed a case of powdery mildew. This can happen when air circulation is poor and most often happens in the spring or fall, when days are warm and nights are cold. An all purpose garden fungicide will protect the unaffected plant parts, but won't cure the disease. Pinch or prune off the affected leaves, then spray with a fungicide. Make sure the plant has good air circulation all around and give it some morning sunshine. This should take care of future problems.
