Not sure if an Hibiscus bush I received as a house warming gift will survive the cooler temps. here in Myrtle Beach, SC. Tag states 20o. Please advise if it can be put in the ground or I must bring it inside in late Fall thru the winter months. |
This would be a tropical hibiscus, Hibiscus rosa sinensis. It should be brought indoors when temperatures are below 55 degrees if you wish to keep it blooming as a house plant during the winter. If you simply wish to protect it during the winter, bring it in before temperatures drop below 45 degrees. |
