|I purchased some Agapanthus bulbs and I'm not sure whether to put it in a 10 or 12" container?|
|Your Agapanthus will probably grow 1 1/2 - 3 feet tall. I'd plant them in a 12 inch container, only because the depth will help anchor the plants and keep the pot from falling over in the wind. The division of 1/3 pot and 2/3 plant material will lookpleasing to the eye, as well. There are no hard and fast rules about planting in containers. Six to eight inches of soil depth is good for annuals and most perennials. Taller plants will need deeper pots because they will have greater root masses. On theother hand, some plants bloom best when they're slightly rootbound. Choose pots that will allow the development of a good root mass, without overcrowding, but not pots so large that the plants will look out of place.
Hope the information helps!
