once the flowering is gone how do I prune it? Do I cut back the stem for new flowering? What can I do for bigger and healthy blooms. |
Thelma, I am sorry for this delayed reply to your gardening question. The spring rush has brought a deluge of questions and we are working hard to catch up! Just cut the stems of your agapanthus back to the base when their flowers are done. Feet the plants with a soluble product such as Miracle Gro at the label rate. Lawn fertilizer works too but only put about 2 tablespoons in a circular area extending about 1 foot out from each plant. Thanks for the question. Best wishes for a wonderful gardening season. Please stop in again soon! |
