|I saw on Television where someone prune a Lantana bush back and trained it to grow into a Lantana Tree, How can I do that?|
|It is possible to train virtually any trailing perennial into a tree. Start with an upright stem or branch and remove all other growth from the plant. Then stake the stem upright and remove all but the leaves on the very top of the stem. As the stem elongates, new leaves will appear and you can rub off the old leaves, along with anything that tries to grow along the "trunk" or main stem. It takes a few years, but eventually you'll have a strong trunk with a topknot of trailing, flowering stems.|
Best wishes with your project!
