Differences in Desert SW Gardens - Knowledgebase Question

Do you have someone from our area to write about gardening? Although we in New Mexico are the desert SW, our gardens are very different from Arizona. I was at my local Home Depot garden center and on that particular day, no one could help other buyers with their questions. I made friends and offered my experience to help out my neighboring gardeners. Please consider one of our locals for a little garden piece.

 In my experience, gardeners are the most generous people with their time and advice, as you have demonstrated by answering questions when you were in the nursery. I understand and sympathize with what you are saying about regional differences. For example, although the neighboring low desert areas of Phoenix (where I live) and Tucson seem the "same" in most people's minds, gardeners actually deal with different conditions and plant palettes. Mid-level deserts are quite a bit different from low, and mid-level is different from high desert. Palm Springs gardening is different Albuquerque is different from El Paso... Hundreds, if not thousands, of similar variations occur throughout the country. The National Gardening Association created 12 broad regions to provide information and resources for gardeners to garner ideas, learn some gardening basics, keep up with new developments, and ask questions. Unfortunately, it isn't feasible for us to offer versions specific for every possible gardening locale, although it would be nice if we could! Thank you for taking the time to write.
