| i want to take up grass in sectof yard and put douwn mulch or lava rocks or such. how deep do i need to did up the grass and what do line/fill the area with before the mulch?? thank you |
| I am sorry for this delayed reply to your gardening question. The spring rush has brought a deluge of questions and we are working hard to catch up! It it is St. Augustine dig 1/2 inch deep. If it is zoysia you may need to go 1 inch or 2. Bermuda goes even deeper and should be sprayed with a product containing glyphosate (Roundup is on brand) rather than trying to dig it up. Then lay a weed cloth fabric down and cover it with the lava rock or whatever mulch you choose. Thanks for the question. Best wishes for a wonderful gardening season. Please stop in again soon! |
