I was wondering on how to best take care of a dwarf sunflower. I am starting out with a seed. Can they bloom and survive if it stays in a pot?

Your dwarf sunflowers will grow happily in a large container (at least 12" across and 10" deep). For best growth, they need full sunshine. Use regular potting soil to fill your pot and water it thoroughly so it is completely moist. Then sow 5-6 seeds in the pot, evenly spaced and about 1" below the soil surface. Don't let the top of the soil dry out until after the seeds have sprouted. After that, water regularly and your sunflowers should grow well.
