|The tree was planted in the spring and is growing fast, but some of the leaves have little dead spot and some looks like something is eating on them. Can you help?|
I am sorry for this delayed reply to your gardening question. The spring rush has brought a deluge of questions and we are working hard to catch up!
Some insect damage on a tree's foliage in normal and of not threat to the tree. The dead spots are most likely due to a leaf spot fungus or bacteria. A few such spots are likewise no cause for concern. Is suspect with summer coming on those leaf spots will not get any worse and no spraying will be needed.
Thanks for the question. Best wishes for a wonderful gardening season. Please stop in again soon!
