Pinellas Park, fl
|I bought 2 crepe myrtles at the end of summer last year. They're now about 4 ft. tall but no blooms! I put fertilizer stakes in the ground this spring and there's new growth but no blooms. Everyone else in the area has blooms on theirs.

|There are only a few things that would prevent blooming: immmaturity (your plant will just have to grow up before it can flower); pruning at the wrong time (crape myrtles bloom on new growth produced in the current year); or too much nitrogen fertilizer. I'd give your tree another year. It should bloom right on schedule next year.
