I was told there is a way to get bleeding hearts to bloom for a 2nd time in the season. Is this true and if so how do I do it?

The big old fashioned bleeding heart, Dicentra spectabilis, usually goes dormant fairly soon and will not rebloom. The D. eximia types however will bloom over a longer season from spring into summer and stop blooming when it turns too hot. Sometimes they will bloom again in the fall when the weather turns cool again. In my experience it really depends more on the weather than anything.
