Basil Pests? - Knowledgebase Question

My young plain green basil leaves have small holes in them; not slugs/snails, surrounded by anti-stuff, find none in barrel where basil's planted...if it's little bugs, would soapy water sprayed on be my best bet for keeping them at bay? Can't see anything...

Without actually seeing the pest, it would be unwise to use something on your plant; what you use may or may not be effective. I'd suggest putting some floating rowcover or other netting over the plant. If the damage stops, you had flying insects and no spray will be necessary.
