|We have 3 raised beds that we just built. The first two has soil and mulch the third we had to wait on and grass is already growing back in - despite the plastic and landscape fabric! We are going to go back and pull out as much grass as possible. How much grass do we really need to get out?

|Pulling the weeds out by the roots will keep the area mostly weed free, especially if you put down weed barrier. If you don't intend to plant the bed for a few months, you can use a weed killer such as Round-Up on the bed, then place weed barrier over the top of the bed. This should take care of the weeds and keep new ones from sprouting. If you'd rather not use chemicals, you can solarize the soil by putting thick black plastic over the area. This will essentially bake the weeds and weed seeds and should take care of the problem.
Good luck with your garden!
