| There are a number of plants that are commonly called jasmine, and care can vary somewhat depending on which specific one you have. However, for a container plant outside for the summer, provide morning sun and afternoon shade, or bright dappled light all day. Keep the soil slightly moist, do not allow it to dry out. Fertilize regularly from spring to fall with a water soluble fertilizer such as 10-10-10 with minors. Bring it indoors in the fall before temperatures drop below about 50 degrees.
