I planted some sunflowers about 4weeks ago. The seedlings have just sprouted up and have been growing fine this past week. Today I noticed that half of the plants have some sort of pest damage. It looks like something is chewing through my little plants leaves. What insect eats sunflower leaves and how can I rid my garden of them? |
A number of insects might munch on the leaves of your plants. But in order to control them, you'll need to catch them in the act. Not all insecticides work on all plants against all insects. Try checking the backs of the leaves at different times of the day (early morning, midday, dusk) and you'll probably find a few of the critters munching away. Once you do, you can use an insecticide against them. Best wishes with your garden. |
