do they like acid soil, sand,or much water?

I am sorry for this delayed reply to your gardening question. The spring rush has brought a deluge of questions and we are working hard to catch up!

Agapanthus love a moist soil with lots of compost added. They can take fairly acidic conditions fine but also moderately high pH levels. They want moist soil but not soggy wet or poorly drained.
