|My lillies have finished blooming and most of the flower pedals have fallen off. The blooms are starting to turn into some kine of pods. When do I prune the bloom? Where do I cut? Can the pods be used to grow additional plants? If yes, what is the best way?|
I am sorry for this delayed reply to your gardening question. The spring rush has brought a deluge of questions and we are working hard to catch up!
When the lilies are done blooming cut the bloom stalks back to the base of the plant. Some types of lilies will form little "bulblets" on the bloom stalks. These can be planted and grown into new plants.
Thanks for the question. Best wishes for a wonderful gardening season. Please stop in again soon!
