I'm going to grow melons and cucumbers. Is there a problem with cross-pollination if I plant them in the same garden? |
All members of the squash family, including melons and cucumbers, will cross pollinate when planted in the same garden bed. But that won't hurt the productivity or the flavor of the fruits this year. But the seeds in the fruits will be affected so don't save the seeds and plant them next year or you'll be harvesting some strange looking fruits! |
