If this is a Ficus benjamina (the ornamental fig, not the one grown for fruit) then there are probably two factors causing the leaf loss: moving it, and then over or underwatering.

This tree often loses leaves when it is moved from one place to another, or if there is a change in its growing conditions. Sometimes it will drop most or all of its leaves. Once it becomes adapted it will regrow new leaves.

This tree will also suffer if over or underwatered. The soil should be kept slightly moist and dry somewhat between waterings. Use your finger to dig down into the soil and see if you need to water. If it is still damp and inch or two down, do not water yet. When you do water, make sure it is soaking into the soil thoroughly and not running out between the soil and side of the container. After watering, empty the drainage saucer under the pot.

I hope this helps you trouble shoot.
