|We have two Magnolia trees in our yard that I received as a Mother's Day gift about 15 years ago. They each have very sparse folage on the branches and don't seem to be getting much taller(currently about 20ft). They each produce about 6 to 10 blooms each year. Is there a special fertilizer that we should be using on the Magnolia Trees?|
There is not a special fertilizer for magnolias. I would use a turf type product with a 3-1-2 ratio of nutrients. Apply it at a rate of 1 - 2 cups per inch of trunk diameter. Spread it evenly beneath the branch spread of the tree. Then water it in well.
Thanks for the question. Please stop in again soon!
