My plum tree only has three plums on it. It bloomed beautifully this spring and had lots of little pods when the blossoms fell off, but now only has three fruit. Why?

If your plum tree is a fruit bearing tree rather than an ornamental plum, it sounds like a lack of pollination. Either your plum tree needs a neighbor - a different kind of plum for cross-pollination, or there was very little insect activity when the tree was in bloom and no pollen was transferred to the flowers.

There's really nothing you can do about this year's crop.

Better luck next year!
