On May 13. 2007 I purchased a 1gal clematis for $9.97. We planted it near our fence on the west side of our yard. It was watered by a drip system as is our whole yard except for the lawn. It seemed to be doing ok and even had a flower but in the last couple of weeks we've noticed that it was not thriving. It is finally dead.

My question is...do we need to dig up the plant and bring it in for a refund or replacement? I have the store receipt.

Thanks for your help.

Each store has its own return policy. Start by taking your receipt back to the store. If they need proof, they'll ask you to dig up the plant and return it for an exchange.
