Crape Myrtle - Knowledgebase Question

I have two full grown crape myrtles not blooming,my across street neighbors have several myrles in their yard and loaded with beautiful flowering. Need some advice,Thanks !!

Lydia,

Crape myrtles need lots of sun to bloom well. They also prefer to have a bit of water to keep them vigorous. Some varieties are slower to start blooming than others.

If your plants are in full sun and do not start blooming within another couple of weeks I suggest you fertilize them with a cup of 15-5-10 or similar fertilizer in an 8 foot diameter area beneath each plant (4 feet out from the trunk in all directions). Also give them a good soaking once a week.
