Yellowing is normal when the soil is too soggy wet for too long. The area may not be well drained enough for the fig to thrive. If drainage is okay it will pull out of this when the soil dries out a bit. Feed the tree with a very light dose of turf fertilizer, about a cup spread evenly throughout a circular area extending 4 feet out from the trunk in all directions.
