If the leaves are small and downward curved with necrotic (brown) edges, it indicates excessive moisture and an abundance of soluble salts in the potting soil. You can leach the media to remove the excess soluble salts and also stop fertilizing to reduce soluble salt levels. Be sure to reduce irrigation frequency if rooting medium stays too wet.

To water properly, water thoroughly when the top half inch of soil feels dry. If your tap water is hard, use filtered, distilled, or rainwater.

Trim off the damaged edges. If you correct the watering problem, the plant will probably forgive you.
