I bought two 1-gallon Leyland Cypress trees and 1 juniper. How do I take care of these trees? I would like to keep them in containers because I think they will stay small.

Leyland Cypress is a rapidly growing conifer averaging three or more feet per year. Its rapid growth makes this tree ideal for hedges, windbreaks, and Christmas tree production. Its overall vigor makes this tree very easy to grow. While yours will be happy in containers for a year or so, they really need to be planted in the ground.

They grow best in full sunshine, in fast-draining soils and regular waterings during the growing season.

Junipers are not as fast growing as Leyland cypress, but they appreciate the same care; full sun, fast-draining soils and water during the growing season.
